This year Anna Marie dressed as Cinderella and Sophia was a chicken. There was, as always, lots of drama getting Anna Marie dressed. She thinks everything is itchy, especially her Cinderella costume. On Friday night we Trick 'r Treated over at Great Grandma Van Dyk's house. While we were there Grandma mentioned how difficult it was to dress Ann (Kevin's mom, and Anna Marie's name sake) She said that Ann thought everything was itchy and Sunday mornings before church were always a hassle. I had to laugh, I guess Ann and Anna Marie have more then just the name in common.
On Halloween we headed up north to visit family. My Dad and Janice were not expecting us. It was lots of fun to surprise them. Jackie and Jay were both home from college so it was a full house. Its always nice to see family.

I am glad everything went well with the trip. Did you and kevin hide when Anna Marie rang the doorbell? Did your Dad cry? (I am fascinated by his and Reed's ability to cry at the drop of a leaf, it is such a welcome change from my family!) Has Sophia started walking?
Hey Trisha - Sophia has not started walking yet but she took one step unassisted tonight, so I am sure it will be any day now. We didn't hide but we were all teary eyed, except maybe Janice she is the only one who as any control over her emotions unlike all us Gattons. That is one of the many quirks I inherited from Dad along with motion sickness, mild closterphobia, TMJ etc. I think Reed escaped those last few...
